‘Pak army created hurdles in peace with India’
Senior PDP leader and MP Muzaffar Hussain Baig Monday said the State will soon get back two power projects from NHPC.
“We will soon get back at least two power projects from NHPC. It will make the J&K self sufficient economically and we will also be able to sell power to others besides ending electricity crises in the State,” Baig said while speaking at the PDP office, here during the party meeting.
He said they have initiated talks with the Government of India (GoI) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is personally interested to hand over two power projects to the State.
Baig also hoped that dialogue process between India and Pakistan would be resumed soon to solve the pending issues between the two countries.
“In Pakistan, there is no democratic government. Army rules that country. Hurdles in peace process are created by the Pakistan army and time has come when the derailed dialogue process between India and Pakistan should be put back on the track with a motive to ensure peace,” he said.
The PDP leader asked party ministers to do work of the party workers who are being neglected by the ministers.
“The party workers should be given due respect and their genuine works done instead of ignoring them,” he said.
